Bible Study Groups

Did you know there are several Bible Study Groups at Holy Family Catholic Community? There is something for everyone. Come join us as we read and reflect on God’s Word! Our groups meet weekly, acknowledging individuals have varying commitments, and all are welcoming to newcomers. We will have an empty chair and materials to greet you. You are encouraged to bring your own Bible. Call us or come visit us for a session.

Tuesday Evening Bible Study, Arlington Heights, Tuesdays, 7:15pm-9:00pm
Join us in our Journey through Scripture as we read, study and reflect on Great Passages of the Bible by Carol Plueddemann. We are a diverse group of men and women who enjoy discovering not only why
Scripture says what it says but also who helped write it and how it shapes our experience of Catholicism
today. Everything is viewed through the prism of what it might mean to us. If you seek to deepen your faith, join us as we experience how transforming it is to gather to learn and grow in our practical knowledge of Scripture.

Women’s Morning Bible Study, Holy Family, Tuesday, 9:30am-11:00am
Join this ongoing group.Stop by to experience a session. One Bible Study participants commented: “A few years ago I became so busy with working, taking care of teenagers, trying to be a good wife, running a home…being at church meetings, helping people who needed it, and trying to make everyone happy, that I neglected the most important thing– my intimate walk with God. Actually I was praying more than ever about everyone else on the planet. But I didn’t pray about my own walk with Him. I became Martha instead of Mary without even realizing it.”

Thursday Morning Bible Study, Arlington Heights, 10:00 AM-12:00 noon
Imagine that you are Dr. Luke, a Greek physician. You heard Paul teach and became convinced that Jesus is the Son of God. Now you want to put Jesus’ story in words for others to read and believe. Jesus’ agenda is love and peace. He came to set captives free and to give sight to the blind, but he also refused to accept dishonesty or hypocrisy. He won’t tolerate injustice. What would it cost a person to become a follower of Jesus? What does it mean today? We are a diverse group of men and women who gather to read and reflect on Scripture. We welcome you to join us at any time.
