Presented by: Pauline A. Viviano, Ph.D., Friday, October 29, 2010, 7:00pm-9:00pm
The Ten Commandments called the "Ten Words" in the Bible, continue to have significance for Catholics today, but what did they mean of ancient Israel? How does Jesus speak of them in the gospels and what do we do with them today? We will answer these questions within the larger context of the meaning of law in the ancient world and draw from that discussion what will enhance our understand8ing kand use of these ancient laws in todays world.
