Marriage Prep/Re-Marriage Prep

Getting Married? Here is what you need to do!
Call Paula Nowicki to schedule a date for your wedding at Holy Family Catholic Community,
847-907-3416, pnowicki@holyfamilyparish.org.

Please note: We need at least seven months notice prior to a wedding date.

You will then be contacted by our Marriage Preparation Ministry and begin your Marriage Preparation process as follows:

  • Attend the orientation mass and meeting.
  • You will be assigned a sponsor couple and meet with them and a group of other engaged couples for 5 or 6 sessions.
  • Attend the Celebration of Journey mass.
  • Attend the Couples' Reconciliation Service.
  • Atttend the Wedding Music Faire.

The Marriage Prep process is required to marry in the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Engaged Orientation
Saturday, April 26, 2008; July 12, 2008; October 4, 2008
Engaged couples planning to be married at Holy Family Catholic Communityare asked to attend 4:30pm mass with a light dinner and orientation to follow. Couples will learn about the Marriage Preparation Process and take the FOCCUS inventory. You will be assigned a sponsor couple and meet with them and a group of other engaged couples for 5 or 6 sessions.

Engaged Couples Mass - Celebration of the Journey

Engaged couples and their sponsors should attend the 4:30pm mass at Holy Family Catholic Community. Choose from dates above.

Couples Reconciliation Service with Wine and Cheese Reception

Couples Reconciliation Service is held in the chapel, followed by a wine and cheese reception. All engaged couples and sponsors are encouraged to attend.
