Landings offers returning Catholics a supportive community within which you can ask questions, discuss issues, deal with difficulties; and provides an opportunity to be with ordinary Catholics who are trying to live their faith.
The structure is designed to provide a non-threatening safe environment to come to terms with recent changes within the church and yourself.
Landings is not the "saved" welcoming "sinners. It is not people pressuring you to return. It is not religious scholars full of answers teaching the un-enlightened nor is its leaders blind to the hurt the Church may have caused someone...
So what is Landings about?
The Landings Ministry is:
People in solidarity with the returning; who in their lives have "returned" and continue to "return". Founded on the belief that we do not have to be trained theologians to share what we believe and to speak honestly about our faith. trusting in the Holy Spirit.
The ministry is a proven Paulist program which has connected over 300,000 active and returning Catholics in the past few years. It fills a need that the traditional RCIA, RENEW groups do not focus on.
The Landings structure is a group of active Catholics who join together with you, as peers, for several group sessions. At the conclusion of the sessions, all will gather for a weekend retreat to experience the joy of healing.
