Holy Family Maintenance Associate

Holy Family Catholic Community in Inverness, Illinois is seeking a dependable and dedicated Maintenance Associate to help keep our parish campus clean, safe, and welcoming. This part-time weekend position plays a vital role in preparing and supporting our spaces for Masses, events, and activities.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, works independently, and enjoys being part of a team that helps serve our vibrant parish community.

Some responsibilities include:
• Opening the building and preparing rooms for scheduled events and Masses.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, meeting rooms, and high-traffic areas.
• Vacuuming, mopping, taking out trash, and restocking supplies.
• Setting up and taking down tables and chairs for events.
• Performing light maintenance tasks like changing bulbs and minor repairs.
• Providing courteous support to parishioners, guests, and staff.
• Locking the facility and securing the building at the end of shift.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, respectful, and able to work independently while also being part of a collaborative maintenance team.

This is a part-time position with regular weekend hours (10–18 hours/week, Saturday and Sunday). Occasional weekday or holiday shift availability is a plus.

Pay range: $17.00-18.50 per hour

Youth Minister

Holy Family Parish in Inverness, Illinois, is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Youth Minister to work with our vibrant and growing group of teens. Applicants must be committed to accompanying teens on their journey of faith and empowering them to grow in relationship with Christ and live their faith. Some responsibilities include:

• Plan and execute the Teen programs and events at Holy Family and beyond, addressing the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of youth.

• Organize and lead engaging youth gatherings, retreats, service projects, and other events that inspire and empower young people to walk in faith.

• Providing leadership, pastoral care, mentorship, and guidance to youth.

• Support and collaborate with the dynamic team of Family Teen Faith.

• Communicate with parish leadership, volunteers, and parents to create a supportive and nurturing community for youth within the larger church family.

• Recruit, train, empower and lead volunteers to serve in various capacities within the youth ministry program.

• Stay informed about current trends, resources and best practices in youth ministry, and integrate them into the programs and initiative.
