Conversations in the Spirit

We are steadily increasing the number of conversations that we have conducted, focusing on six key areas for growing our community spiritually and physically. We are calling these CONVERSATIONS IN THE SPIRIT. I have come to appreciate that some of you are intimidated by this title. Many Catholics are not very comfortable with anything IN THE SPIRIT, yet we invoke it every time we say the Sign of the Cross.

Pope Francis reintroduced an ancient way of having a RESPECTFUL conversation called Synodality. Our conversations are based on that concept. Synodality means ‘Walking Together.’ As we have gathered for many of these conversations so far, I am more convinced than ever that the Holy Spirit is at work in a simple and powerful way as we Walk Together, listen and discuss six important topics. That is why I want as many of you as possible to participate.

Let me make this as simple as I can. I want to listen to you. We as a staff want to listen to you and get your feedback about our future here at Holy Family. I am convinced that the Holy Spirit guides us in this endeavor. We are not claiming to be slain in the Spirit or any other dramatic expression of it. I simply want you to trust that the Holy Spirit works as we respectfully listen to each other and share our thoughts, feedback and ideas.

I am also asking you to trust me, the leadership team and our staff. We have a conviction that you will see what I am talking about if you participate in one or more of the areas of conversation listed on the cards that are available in the Narthex. Please try it. I have provided a copy here. Many who have already done so have remarked how helpful and respectful the process is. PLEASE FILL OUT A CARD (located in the Narthex) OR SCAN THE QR CODE.
