Healthy Masculinity and the Spiritual Journey
Saturday, April 27, 8:30am – 12:30pm.

Holy Family is partnering with Illuman of Illinois to offer a Saturday morning program for men seeking deeper spiritual connection and conversation with other men.

Illuman of Illinois is the local chapter of Illuman, a non-denominational spiritual organization, founded by Fr. Richard Rohr, OFM, committed to helping men become more spiritually healthy and authentic.
Mystics have long held that the pursuit of a “meaningful life” is an ongoing journey, but then questions arise: How do we traverse its many turns? Where is it leading? What are the pitfalls and traps along the way? Are we traveling on this journey alone? Ultimately, as men who are followers of Christ, what does it mean to live a spiritual life?
We start by acknowledging that we all have a deep desire and longing for union with the Divine. The road is often challenging and rarely straight. The journey is sometimes “heroic” but often mundane. The lessons that life provides become our greatest teachers on the path to a deeper union with God.

To discover how to engage these questions and more, please consider joining the men of Illuman of Illinois led by one of our wisdom teachers Juan Hinojosa, for a morning of ritual, sharing, teaching, and connection.

Holy Family Parish, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness, Illinois 60067.
